Floral pants coordination (Spring)

Woman do not have to swear by skirts or dress to stay ladylike.
Talk about this spring’s big trend, stylish printed pants. Who could ignore them?
They do the same trick in my opinion.

Here are some of the fanciful ways of coordinating floral and printed pants by ViVi magazine.

1&2. Elegance & floral pants do blend together. ViVi chose a slightly looser floral pants to team up with knit and sweat tops for the simple, chic but feminine style.

3. Try a resort style wear. Casual and rugged, jacket paired with tropical prints floral pants, surprising blend well together. Add a straw hat and you are in the mood to head off to resort (*^m^*)

4&5. Bright hues are for spring and these are definitely going to leave an impression.
Cute polka dots green pant + denim jacket + pink sneakers.
Skinny floral pants worn with lace embellished chiffon blouse and straw hat.
Sweet, girly Japanese Japanese styles lovers are not going to have enough of these!

Which of these is your favorite style?

Tokyo’s sakura

The streets of Tokyo is covered in shades of soft pink now as Cherry blossom fully bloomed. They are going to stay for a week after full blossom before the petals started dropping off. Beauty is short-lived… How true …

Consider yourself really lucky if you happen to be in town now without the faintest idea to see Sakura. This year, Sakura started blooming about 10 days earlier because of the warmer weather as compared to annual years.

Before Sakura,,, there is the Cedar Pollen allergy!
They finally caught me this year (v__v`)…
Walking down the streets without wearing a mask?
The mere thoughts of it makes me sneeze (>o<)=3
The sad thing is, I would have to battle with pollen allergy for every spring (T-T)
Cherry blossom wouldn’t be something to be looking forward to anymore, perhaps…

But seeing people wearing masks while enjoying cherry blossom viewing sort of bought a sense of relief. At least I am not alone struggling with pollen allergy (@`v`@)

Ways of coordinating printed bottoms

The trend of printed bottoms continues their way into spring in Japan. If you are wondering how to style them here are some ways by ViVi.

1. Light pinkish tones floral pant is just the perfect color for spring.
ViVi had chosen a loose, high-waisted floral pant not only for a soft look but also because it matches easily.
The pant is paired with a long cardigan worn over a T-shirt. The total style looks sweet and without overly casual even as a working attire.

2. For an occasional change from plain boring pants, gorgeous lace pants are the ones to look out for.
Paired with a silky sweet sleeveless blouse, and a cardigan thrown over the shoulder, the style looks refresh and ready for some weekend outings.

3. Elegant jacquard floral prints mini skirt and a bright yellow knit, definitely a good mix for the sweet & girly next door style.

Cow pattern cake roll

Japanese pâtissier took roll cakes to a new height by coming up with artistic decorations. This one makes headlines with its cute cow patterns when it was featured on TV and magazines. They even have a funny name for it, of course totally “cow”. The name is “Moo moo milk roll”.

If you are curious about what is the ingredient used to create the black patches, it said edible bamboo charcoal.
Cake roll for afternoon tea,,, sinful but sounds good!
And it wouldn’t harm to have something that looks so lovely.

This cake roll could make a fabulous gift for some surprises,
but too bad, it is only sold in Japan .:*~*:.

Japanese way to coordinate stripes, plaids dresses

Dresses with prints like vertical horizontal stripes, gingham checked, make unique pieces but coordination can be hard work.

In Japan prints like such in soft tones are making appearances this spring. So here are some mix & match techniques from ViVi magazine.

1. Keep a look out for the latest trend this year, dresses layered with organdy.
This organdy layered gingham check dress has a cute side cut-outs. ViVi chose to have some fun with a sexy lacy inner to overlap the cut-outs. The coordination looks fabulous like a single piece and very feminine.

2. Vertical stripes dress layered with organdy offers a very soft soothing tone. The point to look out for will be wedge lace up sneakers, which couldn’t be more perfect for the dress and did justice to show off long, slender legs (^_-)

3. Simple monotone horizontal stripes dress worn over white shirt can look as elegant. The key to this coordination is that ViVi had purposely picked a tank dress to go over.

For more details, please inquire through the blue button at the bottom.

Japanese style / Organdy layered dresses

  • 1-1. Fit & flare gingham checked layered organdy dress / 20,790yen
  • 1-2. Black lace tank top / 3,360yen

  • 1-4. Black bow hairband / 1,575yen

Creative glasses

Stumbled upon this interesting product in one of the sites.
Can you imagine what this is for from the irregular shape of the protruding glasses?

Convenient goods from Japan

Ever have such experience as you just feel like you want to read a book or watch TV while lying down real flat. So this is precisely how the magic glass was born (*^v-)b

It lets you read a book or watch TV without having to change your posture or lifting your body or arms. Good for spending some lazy time (*^-`)v

Couldn’t comment on how useful it is since I had never tried on it before.
But just one thing… I wish there are some efforts put into the design though… something that looks cute or cool would be nice in my opinion.

Japanese style cut out dresses

Japanese designers have their own ideas of cut out detail dresses.
Designs that incorporate sweet, cute themes and aren’t revealing too much skins are what we seen here. Guys are going to be disappointed with this one for sure (^_-)
These few would be my choice for spring’s cut out dresses from ViVi magazine’s collection.

The mixture of cut-outs with floral prints, spring vivid or pastel color dresses are simply lovely and stunning.

If dresses baring your belly or cut-out details at the chest aren’t your cup of tea, choices like waist and side cut-outs are available. And if you prefer some simple or a bit conservative stuffs, cut-outs at the back looks fabulous too (o^-^o)v

Creative Japanese stationary

Such an order came from customer. “I need three of each ketchup and mayonnaise”.
Eh?? Why order from Japan?
I mean these should be easily found anywhere ?(‘_.)?(._’)?
Moreover, to send by air… the packing must done with care (#._.)

But soon, I had a great laugh after a check on the given link! (o^m^o)

The identity of this product ,,,

.
.
.

is no more than a correction tape! (LOL).
Awesome!!

Apparently whoever designed this decided that he needs some interesting, creative correction tapes apart from those prim, boring ones in the market. The bottle and even the cap! The entire packaging was made to be as close as possible to the original items.

And at an unbelievably attractive price of 189yen each o(@.@)o
How on earth did the customer find such these???
Anyway,,, it is time to prepare a quotation.
Interesting stationary

Spring is in the air with continuously warmer days in Tokyo.
In the fashion scene, we see fabulous dresses in vivid, bold hues as representative colors of spring. Here are some of my choices for the theme of “Sweet and lovely dresses” from ViVi.

How about showing up for weekend dates in one these casual and cute dresses?
